Raleigh photographer J of J. Kim Photography was kindly mentioned in the Genesis Home newsletter (Winter 2009 issue). J donated his time and talent to photograph families in the Genesis Home and the Path Home 20th anniversary celebration. The Path was held at Bay 7 of the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham. According to the newsletter, almost 400 guests, volunteers and organizers gathered together to celebrate the 20th anniversary.

Thursday, December 10th, 2009The Durham Magazine featured an article for the Genesis Home in the current issue. It was an exiting news for a Raleigh photographer J, because numerous his images were published for the story in the Durham Magazine. An editor of the Durham Magazine contacted Genesis Home to write a story on Genesis Home’s annual fund raising event, the Path. They decided to use images created by J. Kim Photography. J is devoted to help non-profit organizations for their fund-raising events and other events.
Durham magazine – Genesis Home: Changing Lives for 20 Years
Wednesday, November 25th, 2009Two of J’s images were published on Durham Magazine blog in June 2009 (www.durhammag.com). Raleigh photographer J volunteered to take pictures of the residents for Genesis Home early 2009. Genesis Home is a transitional shelter at 300 N. Queen St. Durham NC. Residents stay in shelter for 6-7 months while they are learning job skills, cooking and parenting.
