All the following three webmasters require verifications by uploading a file or copying a META tag in your site’s home page.
1-1 Webmaster of Google
- Google has a Webmaster central that is a Webmaster tool. One can add 1,000 sites to monitor. Verification is required to use Webmaster tool by adding a file or a Meta tag to your site’s home page. By clicking an added site, one can start to get Crawler access information (how long ago Google crawled on your website). In “Your site on the web” menu, one can learn about top search queries, links, keywords, and internal links. J believes keywords can be helpful to determine how your website perform on each keywords relevant to your market and business. J Kim Photography’s top three keywords are photography, raleigh, and wedding. This results gave J an idea he needs to focus on keywords for “photographer and photographers” and geographically “NC or North Carolina.”
1-2 Bing Webmaster Center has menus of summary, profile, crawl issues, backlinks, outbound links, keywords, and sitemaps. J Kim Photography has 48 backlinks that is believed to be moderately healthy as a small website. J liked the keywords menu of the Webmaster Center. Keywords menu shows how your site performs with specific keywords. For “raleigh photographers”, five webpages are relevant. For “NC photographer”, only one page is relevant.

Six major menus are Feeds, Crawl Errors, Top Queries, Statistics, Authentication, and Actions.
